Patrick Shults

Patrick was raised in the hardwood forests of Michigan, where he developed a passion for science and forestry.  Eventually, he went on to attend Michigan State University and received a B.S. and M.S. in Forestry, as well as a graduate certificate in forest carbon, policy, and management.  Prior to moving to Washington, he worked primarily for non-profit organizations utilizing volunteers, education, and outreach to address forestry concerns in urban and natural settings.  In his current position as the Washington State University Extension Forester, he develops educational programming and research to benefit small forest landowners in SW Washington.
